Register for courses

Before you register

You can check your registration status to see when it opens for you. We recommend creating your schedule before registration day.

How to register (add courses)

To register for classes, login to Dal Online and follow this path:
Registration > Add/Drop Classes > Select Term > Submit

Note: Some programs require block registration—meaning that you register in a block of courses.

You'll arrive at the Add/Drop Classes screen:

In the entry fields at the bottom of the screen, enter the Course Reference Numbers (CRN) for the courses in which you wish to register, then click Submit Changes. CRNs are listed on the Academic Timetable.

The courses you've chosen will be listed on the screen under the Current Schedule heading.

If a course is full, you'll receive an error message after trying to register for it. If there is space available on the wait list, there will be an option on the left of this error message for you to add yourself to the wait list for this course. Learn more about waitlists and how to add yourself
