Changes to Student Success Centre Services
Most Student Success staff will be moving to working remotely as of Monday March 23, 2020. Working remotely means staff can be contacted via email or telephone to have questions answered or to set up a remote meeting via telephone, Microsoft Teams or another mutually agreed upon means of meeting remotely.
Health Services will remain open Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4pm for currently enrolled Dalhousie University students. It is preferable that you email for an appointment prior to coming to the department for care. MD visits will be scheduled by RN’s.
Please note: Days of week / times of day are subject to change but will be communicated on our voicemails/email responses
Promoting your optimal health
Maintaining your overall health is important while you are at university. Health Services provides confidential nursing assessments and referral services for students. We offer a wide range of services including cold and flu assessments, first aid, sexual health counselling, stress management counselling, blood glucose monitoring and select immunizations.
Health Services on the Agricultural Campus is available to all students regardless of health insurance coverage (DSU Health and Dental Plans, private insurance, etc.).
All services provided in Health Services are confidential. Health records are entirely separate from other university documents. No one from an academic or administrative department has access to your health record. Parents, guardians and other family members cannot have access to any information about you without your written consent, including whether or not you have ever visited Health Services.
