Your First Days


Your Pay

During your first few days on campus, you will need to complete a direct deposit form (log-in required) and federal and provincial income tax forms and submit them to the Payroll Office. Please scan the completed forms to and quote your Banner number in the email.

To view your pay, benefits/deductions, T4 information, and job history, visit Dal OnlineWeb for Employees, and log on with your NetID. Here you can update your mailing address, emergency contact information, and sign-up for electronic T4s for tax-filing purposes.

Banner Number

Your Banner Number is your Dalhousie employee number. It is used for identification purposes and to process your pay, initiate computer access, and obtain your DalCard etc. You will be assigned a Banner Number (B00#)  500 Internal Server Error

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.


Email and Phone Access

For a list of IT services on campus and to activate your NetID for email and systems access please see // Once your NetID is successfully activated, you will be prompted to create your personalized Dalhousie email address. Please connect with your supervisor regarding set up of phone, computer, email, access to systems and workspace, and make yourself aware of the university’s Acceptable Use Policy.

Parking on Campus

Obtain a parking permit, if needed, through Dalhousie Security Services, located in the Parkade Level of the Marion McCain Arts & Social Sciences Building. You will need to bring your valid vehicle permit and DalCard
