Checking in (residence students)
Please note: Howe Hall, Shirreff Hall, Risley Hall, Gerard Hall, and Mini-Residence houses will be substance-free for the duration of the 2019 Orientation Week, until September 9, 2019. Students and their guests are not permitted to consume or be in possession of alcohol or recreational cannabis within those residence buildings during that time.
Getting around campus
ATMs on campus
Halifax: The Dalhousie Student Union Building has three ATMs on its main floor: two RBC and one CIBC. Other ATMs are located around campus and charge a small fee for any card use. All major banks have locations within 15 minutes from all Halifax campuses.
Truro: There is one ATM on campus located on the lower level of Cox Institute. Major banks, including TD, Scotiabank, CIBC, and RBC are all located within 15 minutes from campus.
Settling in (orientation)
After you’ve helped them get settled in their new place, family and friends are encouraged to stay and attend an orientation session to learn all about the many resources available.
